Day 2 Events is excited to partner with Asmodee at Gen Con 2023!

Day 2 Events is looking for volunteers to demo games, judge tournaments as well as tournament support staff for Gen Con Indy 2023! 

Working with Day 2 Events includes:

• Demo Team: $17.00 per hour for shifts during event hours and training hours on Wednesday.
• Judging & Event Team: $20.00 for shifts during event hours and training hours on Wednesday.

All staff receive:
• Hotel Accommodations from Wednesday - Monday at an area hotel. 
• Bus transportation daily to and from the hotel to the Indianapolis Convention Center at set times. 
• Travel Stipend. All staff will be eligible for a travel stipend up to $350.00 to assist with flights, driving, and canoe trips to and from Indianapolis.  All driving will be calculated on a mileage basis, with other expenses considered (such as parking).  All flight, bus or train travel to and from Indianapolis will be reimbursed up to $350.00 with receipts being provided to Day 2 Events.

FAQ​

How will Day 2 Events Communicate with Staff?  Day 2 Events will have representatives on-site to assist in all facets of the Asmodee Gencon experience.  Before the event, we will be sending out emails with further information and details, and we will also have a Discord group that all staff will be required to join. We will also have online training sessions and discussions that we will have all staff be a part of before the event!

Are we going to be asked to sell products at the Demo Tables?  No, you will not be asked to sell products.  The Demo goal is to introduce people to the games, teach them how to play the games, and that is all.     

Are we going to have to provide our Social Security Number?  Will the compensation be taxed?  Yes, staff will provide their Social Security Number, and since it is anticipated that all staff will work more than 40 hours during Gencon, we will be sending tax forms.

Is there prizing for the events?  How is that managed?  Day 2 Events and Asmodee will make sure that for every event run the scorekeeper will be informed and have access to the prizing for all events.

As Staff, will we get any other items?  Day 2 Events and Asmodee will make sure that all staff will receive a selection of event and demo items as available.

Is the Star Wars Unlimited Game the amazing NEW GAME that was just announced?  Yes, yes it is, and those attending Gencon will be among the FIRST IN THE WORLD to have a chance to play this amazing game!

Who are Day 2 Events?  Most of you have heard of Yeti Gaming out of St. Louis, Missouri and Top Cut Events based in Chicago, Illinois.  In 2022 the two event companies combined to form a new event company that can bring an amazing experience to staff and players alike!
